President Donald Trump’s immigration policies have faced numerous legal challenges, with the US Supreme Court playing a significant role in shaping the outcomes. While the Court has supported Trump’s hardline approach to immigration, it has also raised concerns about the administration’s methods.
In recent rulings, the Supreme Court allowed the Trump administration to end temporary legal status for hundreds of thousands of migrants, citing legal challenges in lower courts. The revocation of immigration parole for Venezuelan, Cuban, Haitian, and Nicaraguan migrants, as well as the termination of temporary protected status for Venezuelan migrants, were approved by the Court.

Elora Mukherjee, director of an immigrants’ rights clinic, highlighted the Court’s stance on due process for all individuals on US soil, even alleged gang members. The case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a wrongly deported Salvadoran migrant, exemplifies the Court’s commitment to upholding constitutional principles.
While the administration has faced setbacks in certain deportation cases, it continues to push its agenda.
